Die Firma Optocomponents GmbH ist auf die Herstellung von aktiven und passiven optoelektronischen Komponenten für die Lichtwellenleitertechnik spezialisiert. Neben einem umfangreichen Standardprogramm an optoelektronischen Bauelementen für die Kommunikation über Kunststoff-Lichtwellenleiter (POF) sowie über Glasfasern stellt die Optocomponents GmbH eigene Lichtwellenleiter-Steckverbinder, Steckerkörper, Diodenhalterungen (Receptacles), Gehäuse und Zubehörteile her.

Weiteres Kerngeschäft ist die kundenspezifische Konfektion von LWL-Leitungen (POF, HCS und Glas). Herstellung und Vertrieb von faseroptischen Schnittstellenwandlern runden das Programm der Optocomponents ab. Im Programm sind Standard-Umsetzer für RS232, RS422, TTL, Profibus, Interbus-S und USB. Darüber hinaus wurde die Produktpalette um Transceiver im 1x9 Format für industrielle Fast Ethernet Applikationen über Kunststoff- Lichtwellenleiter (POF) erweitert. Diese Produkte sind mit verschiedenen Anschluss-Systemen erhältlich.

Alongside the extensive product range of fiber optic components for data communication via plastic optical fibers (POF) and glass fibers, Opto-components GmbH produces its own fiber optic connectors, connector ferrules, diode mounts, housings and accessories.

Customised supply of fiber optic cables (POF, HCS and glass) as well the manufacture and sale of interface converters round off the Optocomponents range. These are available for RS232, RS422, TTL, Profibus, Interbus-S and USB. New product features are 1x9 transceiv-ers for industrial fast Ethernet applications with plastic optical fibers (POF). These products are available with different connector systems.
